The pub has a comfortable large bar along with a versatile area in the old skittle alley that can be used as a function room. Outside there is a small terrace area, and a 'fresh air dining room'. Food on offer includes Barrel and Stone pizzas. Usually just one ale, Timothy Taylor Landlord. The old Rising Sun has undergone several refurbishments in recent years. The most recent is the most ambitious and resulted in a much changed pub re-opened in February 2019 with a new name, 'The Claremont'.
