  • Bath crawl with Bristol branch, from the Star, and then onwards! Thursday 19 June 2025 12:00 Star Inn

    A crawl with Bristol branch of CAMRA, taking in our favourite Bath city centre pubs, and more. We'll be starting from noon, at the Star Inn on the Vineyards, on the Paragon.

    Note that the last pub will be the Royal Oak before the Brizzle branch head back home from Oldfield Park station.

  • Salisbury Beer Fest, Saturday lunchtime session Saturday 21 June 2025 11:00 Salisbury Guildhall

    A branch get together at the Salisbury Beer Festival, on the Saturday lunchtime session.

  • Mini crawl of Rode, to The Mill and the Cross Keys Tuesday 24 June 2025 19:30 Mill

    A short crawl of Rode in Somerset, starting at the Mill, and the on to the Cross Keys.

    The Mill is on the river Frome. Set in a lovely position, just on the outskirts of the village, there is plenty of seating in the garden, including a raised terrace over the mill race. Plenty of parking. Leased and operated by Butcombe and usually featuring their beers

    The Cross Keys was originally the brewery tap for the long-closed Fussell's brewery, and, more latterly, a Bass depot. Sympathetically restored, it has succeeded in bringing back a strong village trade. A passageway, featuring a deep well, links the two bars. There is also a large restaurant.

    At least two Butcombe beers on, plus a traditional style cider. Look out for the fascinating clock mechanism in the restaurant..

    A crawl of some excellent pubs in Bristol city centre. More details to follow.

  • Locksbrook Inn, Weston, Bath Thursday 3 July 2025 19:30 Locksbrook Inn

    A social at the Locksbrook Inn in Weston, Bath. Previously the Dolphin, it's an old village pub now surrounded by light industrial estates and housing. It has a large patio garden next to the River Avon Weston Canal Cut and the Bath - Bristol Cycle Path. Three ales on normally.

  • Branch Meeting, The Griffin, Frome Tuesday 8 July 2025 19:30 Griffin

    Branch Meeting - to be held in the upstairs room of the pub. Situated in the Trinity area of Frome, the Griffin was formerly the brewery tap for Milk Street (now Frome) brewery, which has moved to the outskirts of the town. Up to three Frome ales and guests, as well as a range of craft beers and ciders.

  • The George Inn, at Croscombe, Beer Festival Thursday 17 July 2025 19:30 George Inn

    The George Inn, at Croscombe, is having a Beer Festival to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Peter and Veryan taking over the pub and turning it into an award winning, superb community pub. More details when known.

  • The Ring O'Bells, Priston, nr Bath Tuesday 22 July 2025 19:30 Ring o'Bells

    The Ring O'Bells is an unspoilt old stone pub with beams and flagstone floors and a 'snug' to the right of the bar with an open fire and some bench seating. The pub is in the centre of the village, immediately next door to the village hall and overlooking the green and is an ideal destination for country walks.

  • The Dog and Fox, Bradford-on-Avon Thursday 31 July 2025 19:30 Dog & Fox

    The Dog and Fox is a traditional family run pub with large car park on the northern edge of town, overlooking open countryside. There are two bars, one an old fashioned small snug, the other, larger, for both dining and drinking. There is a good sized garden at the front, and a children's playground. At least two ales on.

  • The George at Gurney Slade, & the Horse and Jockey, Binegar Tuesday 5 August 2025 19:00 George Inn

    A short crawl of two pubs near Radstock, the George at Gurney Slade, and the Horse and Jockey at nearby Binegar.

    The Georgeis a large traditional family run Victorian pub offering up to three ales and lunch and evening meals. A pool room is to left of the bar and small restaurant area is at the rear. Small enclosed garden at rear.

    The Horse and Jockey is an old traditional multi roomed local pub hidden away in country lanes. The split level bar with flagstones and exposed stone walls leads onto separate rooms.

  • The Blue Ball, Bruton Thursday 14 August 2025 19:30 Blue Ball Hotel

    The Blue Ball reopened as an independent pub in October 2024, and is a very welcome addition to the pub scene in Bruton, with up to five changing cask ales in pins on cooled stillage sourced from local brewers.

    The layout has the main bar to the left, and a smaller ‘lounge’ bar to the right, with a wood burning stove and games area with darts and table football.

    The landlord Piers is a CAMRA member and a keen supporter of local and small independent brewers, and will usually have beers from Flower Pots brewery and Otter along with two real ciders.

  • The Hop Pole, and Victoria Pub and Kitchen, Bath Tuesday 19 August 2025 19:30 Hop Pole

    A couple of our Bath pubs on the Lower Bristol Road, just a few minutes walk apart.

    The Hop Pole was previously a tenanted Bath Ales pub but lease taken on by Abbey Ales in Spring 2024. adding to the three Abbey already operate in Bath. Usually two Abbey Ales beers, one St Austell/Bath Ales and a traditional style cider. Re-opened May 2024 after a refurbishment, new landlord from Nov 2024. It's half-mile west of the city centre, opposite Royal Victoria Park and by the river Avon.

    The Victoria is a very pleasant gastro pub, with at least tow ales normally on.

  • The Seven Stars, Winsley Thursday 28 August 2025 19:30 Seven Stars

    The Seven Stars is a fine old village pub, which dates, in parts, back to the early 1700s. Usually they have up to four ales on, three of them changing guests. There is a peaceful garden, and spacious car park. Note that the D1 bus from Bath to Salisbury/Warminster (and back) stops right outside.
