    Good Chemistry Brewing from Bristol re-opened the Hop Pole on Friday 15 May 2026, expect two Good Chemistry cask beers. Happy hour for some keg beers.

  • A short craw of Warminster, starting at the TAPhouse Thursday 23 July 2026 19:15 TAPhouse

    A short crawl of Warminster centre, starting at the TAPhouse on George St, then on to the Market Place and the pubs there, including the GBG Old Bell. Note the early start due to the restricted hours at the Tap.

  • The Wheatsheaf, Combe Hay Thursday 30 July 2026 19:30 Wheatsheaf

    The Wheatsheaf was originally a farmhouse built in 1576 and parts of the present building date back to the 16th century. A lovely terraced south facing garden provides ample seating in good weather.

  • The Three Daggers, Edington Thursday 6 August 2026 19:30 Three Daggers

    The Three Daggers is an upmarket pub and restaurant with its own on-site brewery. The main bar has three distinct drinking areas with exposed beams, settles and reclaimed wooden furniture, giving a very traditional feel. A separate dining room overlooks a lovely garden at the rear. The 2.5 barrel brewery and farm shop share a separate oak timber barn-style building. Normally up to three beers.

  • Marlborough Tavern & St James Wine Vaults, Bath Tuesday 11 August 2026 19:30 Marlborough Tavern

    A short crawl of Julian Rd in Bath taking in the Marlborough Tavern and the St James Wine Vaults, and, if there's time, the Chequers, on Rivers St.

    The Marlborough is a gastro pub with a good reputation for food that overlooks Royal Victoria Park and is just around the corner from the Royal Crescent. It usually serves two St Austell cask ales and a real cider.

    The Wine Vaults is a popular and friendly traditional pub spread over three floors, 2 of which are available for functions. One, two or sometimes three ales on.

  • The Redan, Chilcompton Thursday 20 August 2026 19:30 Redan

    Refurbished in 2016 to a high level the Redan is smart, comfortable and inviting. As well as the large drinking area inside, there is a gorgeous garden, complete with a covered patio for when it rains, plenty of seating, and a pen full of friendly chickens and a kitchen garden at the rear. Three regular ales from Palmers.

  • The Full Moon, Rudge, Wilts Thursday 3 September 2026 19:30 Full Moon

    The Full Moon is a large friendly village free house, tucked away near the Wiltshire / Somerset border. One local real ale on, typically Frome, Glastonbury or Moonraker, changing on a weekly basis. Behind the pub is a large beer garden with play equipment for children. The pub was acquired in October 2019 and underwent 'a gentle renovation', sympathetic to its 400 year old history as a cider farm.

    The Burcott Inn is a friendly, well kept, and spacious, village pub located on the B3139 on the eastern edge of Wookey, near Wells. Two regular beers and up to one guest.

  • The Volunteer Rifleman's Arms, Bath Thursday 17 September 2026 19:30 Volunteer Rifleman's Arms

    The 'Volly' is one of Bath city centre's smallest pubs located in an attractive passageway between New Bond Street and Upper Borough Walls. It's a traditional one-bar pub which is a favourite with the locals. On display there are numerous military themed posters reflecting the pub's name.

  • The Blue Ball, Bruton Tuesday 22 September 2026 19:30 Blue Ball Hotel

    The Blue Ball reopened as an independent pub in October 2024, with a separate 12 room hotel next door.

    It's a very welcome addition to the pub scene in Bruton with up to five changing cask ales in pins on cooled stillage sourced from local brewers.

    The layout has the main bar to the left and a smaller ‘lounge’ bar to the right with a wood burning stove and games area with darts and table football.
