  • The Seven Stars, Winsley Thursday 11 September 2025 19:30 Seven Stars

    The Seven Stars is a fine old village pub, which dates, in parts, back to the early 1700s. Usually they have up to four ales on, three of them changing guests. There is a peaceful garden, and spacious car park. Note that the D1 bus from Bath to Salisbury/Warminster (and back) stops right outside.

  • Kettlesmith Beer Fest, Bradford-on-Avon Saturday 13 September 2025 12:00 Kettlesmith Brewery

    Kettlesmith Brewing are having their late summer Beer Fest at the brewery in Bradford-on-Avon. They open at 12 noon, and run until 7.00pm. They will have a food truck, live music & DJ (both this time!) as well as all the usual wide range of beers, cider etc.

  • Royal Oak & Griffin, Frome Tuesday 16 September 2025 19:30 Royal Oak

    A short crawl of Frome, taking in the Royal Oak on Oakfield Road, and then The Griffin, on Milk Street. The Royal Oak is a lovely pub, situated on the western fringe of town. Inside there are several drinking area as well as an outside patio garden. Two regular beers normaly on. Situated in the Trinity area of Frome, the Griffin was formerly the brewery tap for Milk Street (now Frome) brewery, which has moved to the outskirts of the town. Up to three Frome ales and guests, as well as a range of craft beers and ciders.

  • The Boathouse, Bradford-on-Avon Thursday 25 September 2025 19:30 Boathouse

    A first trip out to the newly reopened Boathouse on the edge of Bradford-on-Avon.

    Re-opened under new ownership in June 2025 after refurbishment including new decking overlooking the canal, and upstairs bar and terrace. Up to four real ales on.

  • The Bath Arms Shearwater, Crockerton Thursday 9 October 2025 19:30 Bath Arms, Shearwater

    Reopened July 2023, after being closed for some years, this charming 17th century pub, the Bath Arms, has had a huge refurbishment, both inside and out. It is now a lovely, comfortable, country inn, on the edge of the Longleat Estate, and close to the beautiful Shearwater Lake. Given time, we might also visit it's namesake in Horningsham, just a few miles away.

  • Burcott Inn and Sheppey Inn, Tuesday 14 October 2025 19:30 Burcott Inn

    A trip to the west of our branch area, starting at the Burcott Inn in Wookey and then to the Sheppey Inn in Lower Godney. The Burcott is a friendly, well kept, and spacious, village pub located on the B3139 on the eastern edge of Wookey, near Wells. One west country regular beer and up to two guests (one in the winter months), also usually local. The Sheppey is a many roomed pub with lots of contemporary paintings on the walls, set in the wilds of the Somerset levels, west of Wookey. It has a good range of up to four, ever changing, real ales, plus six or more craft beers almost all from Somerset or Bristol breweries and up to six ciders on gravity.

  • The Pulteney Arms, Bath Thursday 23 October 2025 19:30 Pulteney Arms

    The Pulteney Arms, which has been open since 1792, is tucked away near to the end of Great Pulteney St. Its most unique feature are four gas light fittings (now sadly condemned) above the bar. Two regulars and up to three guests. Traditional ciders style: various Lilley's flavours, orchard pig, Old Rosie. The cat symbol featured in the pub sign refers to the Pulteney coat of arms.

  • Old Bell Inn and Rose & Crown, Warminster Tuesday 28 October 2025 19:30 Old Bell Inn

    A short crawl of Warminster, starting at the Old Bell , and then on to the Rose and Crown . The Old Bell is a handsome old Inn with a large rear courtyard in the centre of Warminster. Serving a range of Wadworth beers. The Rose and Crown has newly reopened and yet to be visited. We shall see..!
