An upmarket and historic 16 room Hotel set in beautiful countryside, next to one of the entrances to Longleat House and the Safari Park. It is part of the Marquess of Bath's estate. Most of the expansive interrior is set out for dining but a relatively small and cosy public bar is retained at the left of the building with an open fire, beams and wooden floor, and the walls covered with paintings of horse hunting scenes. There is an extensive garden to the rear and a patio with seating outside the bar. Included in Sunday Times (10 March 2025) "100 Best Places to Stay in the UK for 2025".
