Previously part of Wetherspoons estate, the pub closed in 2017 but partially re-opened under new ownership 17 Jul 2026 - not yet fully surveyed. Record refers to pre-2017 status Large and comfortable town centre Wetherspoon pub with an impressive Victorian stone frontage, set next to Trowbridge old Town Hall. The usual Wetherspoon regulars are supplemented by a good selection of ever changing guests, many of them from local brewers, while those from further away tend to come from more interesting breweries. Bus stops are directly outside. Less than a minute's walk away is the Albany Palace, another Wetherspoon pub.
