After a major refurbishment a few years ago, the George has been transformed. There is a bar area with sofas and armchairs, and a separate seating area with tables and chairs, separated from the bar by three great stone arches. At the back there is a pleasant garden with plenty of tables and benches. There are three beers on, changing often, and are usually from the west country, such as Hop Union and Stonehenge.
