A crawl of Salisbury pubs with W Sussex Branch

Saturday 28 September 2024 12:00

This Saturday, we'll be having a Bath and Borders CAMRA pub crawl in Salisbury. Joining us there will be members of Western Sussex CAMRA branch, and, hopefully, some members from Salisbury. We'll be starting at the Haunch of Venison, on Minister Street, from around 12.00 noon. After that we'll be visiting other pubs in the city, including old favourites, such as the Wyndham Arms, Winchester Gate, and the Rai d'Or. Others Include the Duke of York, Rude Giant, and, possibly, the Village Inn. Most of these pubs are in the GBG. Apart from the Haunch, there is no fixed itinerary.

The members of W Sussex branch will be arriving at around 11.40 or so, so I suggest we get the train, as I will, arriving into Salisbury station at around 11.33, and meet them there. The train leaves Bath at 10.36, B-on-A at 10.48, Trowbridge at 10.54, Westbury at 11.03, D-M at 11.05, and Warminster at 11.12. Obviously, if you wish to come later (or sooner) we can catch up at any pub. Again, leave at any time you wish.

Below are links to some of the pubs' CAMRA guide entries, giving more details, photos, and maps.
