The Bell, Standerwick , & The Full Moon, Rudge
Thursday 20 November 2025 19:30
A trip to the Wilts & Somerset border between Westbury and Frome, first, to visit the Bell at Standerwick, and then on to the Full Moon at Rudge, three minutes drive away, up the lane.
The Bell has been here since at least 1881 and legend has it that hangings took place across the road from the pub. Two beers normally on.
The Full Moon is a large friendly village free house. It was acquired in October 2019 and underwent 'a gentle renovation', sympathetic to its 400 year old history as a cider farm. One real ale on, changing on a weekly basis.
